At Lets Explore, our qualified and experienced practitioners provide a warm and homely environment for your child. We ensure each child feels valued, safe, happy and healthy, allowing them to relax and thrive in our secure and inclusive nursery setting. 

We believe that children learn and grow best when they feel comfortable and confident in their environment. Therefore, we recognise the importance of building a strong relationship with your child, recording and communicating their progress whilst supporting their individual needs, to help them settle into nursery life.

Our creative and highly skilled practitioners devise fun and engaging activities to nurture your child's growth, including their language and physical, intellectual, emotional, and social skills, in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage and Ofsted guidelines. By stimulating their imagination and encouraging their initiative, your child can freely explore and realise their full potential in our supportive setting.

About the nursery

Every detail of our bespoke nursery has been considered to deliver the highest standard of care for your child and features three engaging classroom themes for different age groups - Sea Explorers, Jungle Adventurers and Space Cadets. From the floor layout to the quality of toys, equipment, and vibrant décor, each element of the nursery has been carefully designed to safely assist and promote the key areas of your child's development. 
Managed by a fabulous team, with over 15 years' experience at 'outstanding' Ofsted nurseries, we recruit the very best staff and look after them, knowing that a happy team enables us to provide the very best care for your child.

Our children benefit from:

  • Outdoor space with play equipment.
  • Access to the Lets Explore soft play during their sessions.
  • 4 months – 2 years: two dedicated rooms, set up to accommodate the needs of our youngest children, including their own cot or bed.
  • 2 – 3 years: a large open plan space specifically for this age group.
  • 3 years and over: two further rooms for pre-schoolers.
  • Managed by team with in excess of 15 years nursery experience at 'outstanding' Ofsted centres
  • All children have access to their own bathroom facilities where they can begin their potty-training journey towards achieving independence.

Your peace of mind

When it's time for your child to start with us, we will work closely with you to make sure that they are introduced gradually, allowing plenty of time to familiarise themselves with us and the nursery, and ensure a smooth transition for both you and your child. 

We pride ourselves on excellent communication with parents and guardians. We hold sessions throughout the year that allow you to come in and discuss your child's progress. Through the Famly app, you will be sent regular updates and pictures throughout the day so that you know what your child has been doing, when they slept, when they had their nappy changed or went to the toilet. On the Family app, we also record your child's development against the Early Years Foundation Stage areas of learning, making sure you are always in the loop. 

We work closely with outside agencies and local SEN charities to make sure our little explorers with learning difficulties and disabilities are included in all our activities. We work hard to make sure our knowledge is up to date and that support systems are in place for specific conditions. We are committed to staff training, making sure that children have access to all opportunities with us.

Opening times

 

We are open 5 days a week, 51 weeks a year (excluding bank holidays), we offer full day care either on a full week, part week or sessional basis. 

 

Monday - Friday 7am - 7pm

A day at Lets Explore

From the moment your child arrives first thing in the morning, they will be welcomed by their own key worker and have constant supervision with our friendly, caring team all day. We work with you to make sure your home routine is reflected with us, keeping your child reassured and making the transition as easy as possible.

In our bright, open plan and modern space, we incorporate both structured activities and child-led play sessions to give children a fun range of opportunities for development. There's never a dull moment at Lets Explore - between activities we break the day up to allow time for healthy snacks, nutritious meals, naps, and free play, keeping children engaged and happy all the way through to home time.

A typical day could look like this:
7.00am Early Birds Breakfast Club
8:00am Children are welcomed by their keyworker and breakfast is served.
8:30am Free play followed by structured activities.
9:45am Time to wash hands and have a snack.
10:15am Sleep time for the youngest children and garden play for the older children.
11:00am Structured activities for all the children.
11:35am Group time and singing.
11:45am Lunch time.
12:30am Sleep time or quiet activities to recharge.
2:00pm Afternoon snack time.
2:30pm Messy play and group activities.
3:00pm Time for fresh air and garden play.
3:45pm Stories and singing in the children's rooms.
3:55pm Teatime.
4.45pm Free play and getting ready to go home.
6.00pm Pick up time.
7.00pm Last pick up for Evening Club.

Foodie Explorers

Our partnership with Zebedees fuels your child with nutritious and delicious meals to energise a day of play and learning. With varied menus and locally sourced produce, these balanced meals encourage healthy eating and give children the freedom to explore new tastes and cuisines. 

Choose from a seasonal three-weekly menu that includes baby purees, hot lunches, and teatime meals. All allergies, intolerances, cultural considerations, and dietary requirements are carefully monitored by a team of specialist dietary chefs who freshly prepare meals for the children each morning.
